Lake County Porch Pumpkin Delivery and On-Site Install

Matt Menoni

Fall Into Pumpkins serves Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, and Lake Zurich from headquarters in Hawthorn Woods. The service runs through two models: drop-off delivery for homeowners who handle final arrangement, and full-service on-site installation for homeowners who want the design and physical work done entirely. Now in its second operational year, every order draws from heirloom and specialty varieties sourced from Midwest growers and reserved months in advance.

What Porch Pumpkin Delivery Includes

Every tier covers professional design and curation of your heirloom mix, plus one mid-season refresh visit. Our team returns mid-season to assess condition, adjust placement, and replace any pieces that haven't held up. That visit is part of the base service on every package.

What's not included by default: delivery and end-of-season removal.

Delivery is calculated at checkout by your service area, never bundled into package pricing, while removal and disposal is a paid add-on on all four tiers. The four-tier range page lays out what each tier covers.

Heirloom selection begins well before delivery day, with each piece evaluated for shape variation, color range, and surface condition. Drop-off orders arrive cleaned and ready for arrangement.

Drop-Off Delivery vs. Full-Service Install

Classic and Scenic are the drop-off tiers. We deliver a sourced heirloom mix to your door, with varieties already selected for color balance and scale relative to your package. The sourcing, variety screening, and quality review happen before your order ships. You handle the final placement at your entry. You don't need to be home. We deliver to your specified location and send confirmation when we're done.

Signature and Showcase are the full-service install tiers. Our team arrives with your complete order, assesses your entry, and installs the finished display on-site. Installation accounts for door clearances, walkway width, and approach sight lines. Larger statement pieces anchor corners or frame doorways, while smaller heirloom varieties and specialty gourds provide texture and color layering. Text confirmation follows when the display is complete.

Which Model Fits Your Situation

Drop-off suits homeowners who want direct control over final composition, or whose entry benefits from arrangement at their own pace. Full-service install suits homeowners who want the assessment, staging, and final placement handled by our team.

Both models draw from the same Midwest-grower heirloom pool, reserved well before the install season opens.

Porch Displays Across Lake County

Fall Into Pumpkins serves three Lake County communities from Hawthorn Woods, where our headquarters sits minutes from every property we service in this corridor.

Hawthorn Woods

The Village of Hawthorn Woods incorporated in 1958 with 71 original residents, according to the Village's own history. Rural by design, the founding character centered on preserved wooded lots, and that character has persisted.

Brick and stone are the predominant exterior materials in the village's housing stock. The Encyclopedia of Chicago notes that developer Matt Larson stipulated no trees could be removed without his permission when he began the wooded development in 1953.

Our headquarters in Hawthorn Woods means our team is minutes from your driveway. We've been delivering to these lots since our first season. All four package tiers serve Hawthorn Woods, across both drop-off and full-service install models.

Long Grove and Deer Park also receive service through this corridor.

Kildeer

The 2020 census recorded a population of 4,091. Homes here sit on spacious, wooded lots.

The village neighbors Lake Zurich, Deer Park, Long Grove, Hawthorn Woods, and Barrington. Kemper Lakes Golf Club sits at the edge of the community.

Kildeer service runs through the same four-tier structure. Deer Park Town Center sits just to the east.

Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich wraps the southern and eastern shores of its namesake lake. Henry J. Paulus Park serves as the community's lakefront landmark.

Alpine Fest anchors the village's civic calendar. Paulus Park also hosts a seasonal Friday farmers market.

Lake Zurich residents can access all four tiers.

The Sourcing and Handling Behind Every Display

Heirloom and specialty varieties are sourced from Midwest growers and reserved months in advance. That reservation cycle shapes when you should book. Grower allocations are committed to early orders, and the porches we install in late September are sourced in spring.

The varieties we source reliably include Cinderella (Rouge Vif d'Γ‰tampes), Fairytale (MusquΓ©e de Provence), Jarrahdale, and a rotating selection of specialty gourds and ornamental corn. Variety availability shifts by season and by how early allocations were committed.

The University of Minnesota Extension reports that pumpkins and squash stored at 50–55Β°F and around 50% relative humidity can last one to six months depending on variety. The range reflects real differences in rind thickness and curing response across cultivar types. Lake County's fall conditions generally run cool enough through October to support display longevity from late-September installation through Thanksgiving teardown.

The Lake County Install Window

Peak install weeks run late September through mid-October. The install window opens in late summer and runs through late October or early November in most years. Teardown completes by Thanksgiving.

Bookings are open year-round.
